Funeral services for Mrs. Latinize Rudd Smith, age 88, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11AM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating.  Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery beside her husband Hugh D. Smith who died in 2006.  Mrs. Smith died Monday in Lincoln Care Center.

     She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Tom and Margie Barnes Rudd.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

     Survivors include three daughters Margaret Ellis of Fayetteville, Sharon Williams and husband Butch of Fayetteville, Sue Lynn Johnson and husband Jerry of Kingston, TN, two sons, Douglas Smith and wife Mary Jane of Maryville, TN, Thomas Smith and wife Bobbi of

Fayetteville, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Jeri and

Mark Whisler, Scott and Janie Ellis, Melanie and Kevin Stacy, Judi and Tony Kirby, Jennifer and Ken Locker and Keri Wells, and grandson James Johnson, great grandchildren Andy and Ben Whisler, Chae Ellis, Kathleen and Austin Stacey, Zack, Ryan and Aden Kirby, Carson Locker and Drew Wells.

     Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening 4-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

     In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
