Not One, But Two Transfer Attendants
Everyone deserves the dignity of proper removal from their place of death. We believe this can only be accomplished with two attendants. Our professional staff are trained, dressed professionally, and bring your loved one back into our care immediately with a hearse.

It is important to Higgins Funeral Home to give back to the community that continues to place their trust in us. Our organization and many of our team belong to church, civic, and community groups in Lincoln County.
Education Seminars and Workshops
We feel it is our duty at Higgins Funeral Home to educate our community about the resources available to them before a death occurs. We host several educational events including: Aging in our Community Educational Seminars, Lunch and Learn Workshops, and Pizza and Preneed Workshops.
Pre-planning and Medicaid Spend Downs
Higgins Funeral Home believes in the value of pre-planning funeral arrangements. Our advance planning team is dedicated to providing you with the information and tools to pre-arrange funeral plans at no charge.
Aftercare and Grief Support
Our personalized care for the families we serve continues long after the funeral is over. Higgins Funeral Home’s full-time aftercare team provides assistance to each family we serve in the weeks and months following your loss. We are here to answer questions regarding settling your loved one’s personal affairs and help with any other practical issues that arise. Higgins Funeral Home provides monthly Beyond Sorrow Grief Support Meetings, Individual Grief Counseling, an extensive Grief Library, and other online resources.
Service of Remembrance
Each November, Higgins Funeral Home remembers and honors all the families we served over the past year. This service includes a ceremony, music, memorial message and refreshments. Your family is important to us and we want to extend our care to help you heal after your loss.
