Obituary

Funeral services for Ms. Kimberly Moore Leasure, age 44, of Soddy Daisy will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Todd Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Kim passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. She, according to one of her co-workers, “fought the good fight, she finished the race!”

A daughter of Harold and Betsy Peele Moore who survive, Kim was a native of Fayetteville, employed at Chattem as Project Engineer and a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga where she served as a Deacon.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, are sisters Dianne Prosser and husband Joe of Fayetteville, Linda Wilson and husband Allen of Roebuck, SC, and Susan Graham and husband Glen of Fayetteville, many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews, and her loving fiancé Jaimie Vance of Taft and his two children.

She was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a masters in Industrial Engineering. Kim was an avid athlete who participated in marathons, triathlons and various other athletic charitable events.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 pm, Thursday evening at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of the following organizations: Susan G. Komen Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
