Funeral service for Darrel Edward Pettit, age 71, of Flintville, will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Flintville Cemetery.
Mr. Pettit was born on April 25, 1946 in Cook County, Illinois to the late Herman and Clover Hart Pettit. He worked as a Welder for W.W. Iron Works and Southern Iron Works. Darrel passed away on January 13, 2018 at Donalson Care Center.
Survivors include his son, Charles Morris and his wife Abigail of Flintville; daughter, Tiffany Baker and her fiance Jonathan Certain of Manchester; and grandchildren, Addison Morris, Tia, Ethan and Eli Baker. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pettit was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Bowman.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family to Darrel Edward Pettit.
