Rich and I met in high school when I was a freshman and he was a senior. Despite the usual seniors don’t befriend freshmen, we became fast friends and to this day I consider him to be the brother I didn’t have. I have many fond memories of his ironic sense of humor and the adventures we had in those years. I knew, and I hope he did also, that even as the years streamed past, we could always count on each other. Luckily I saw him this past september when I visited Fayetteville. That he was taken from us so suddenly is a real tragedy. My deepest condolences go out to Judy, and to Melissa, Michael, and Amanda. We have all lost someone very special.
Judy and family, I am so sorry to hear of Richards passing.
Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless each of you and give you strength in the difficult days ahead.
Michael, We are sorry for your loss. 70 years is way to young. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know if there is anything we can do.
Sincerely,
Duff
It seems mere words are so inadequate at a time such as this. May God help ease your pain. You’re in my prayers.

Not sure if you remember me but I ran around with Richard in High School. I have very fond memories of those days.
I am so very sorry for your loss. The Richard I knew was a very, very fine person. I always enjoyed catching up with him at our class reunions.
You have my condolences and prayers.
Dave
Richard was a best friend and true pal all through high school at Lincoln County Central High School. We spent many hours together after school just buming around Fayetteville and Lincoln County. Age catches up to all of us, but funny we don’t seem any older in mind or body. I have many fond memories of Richard and his memorable tails of his summers out west in the national park service.
Richard will be sorely missed!
Jerry
I never was around Richard that I didn’t come away impressed with what he could contribute to a conversation. I would always wish that I had that kind of memory and personality. I so enjoyed those years when Amanda and Michael and my children spent time together. I have missed Richard even before today.
He loved his children and was so proud of them. Rightfully so. May God help you all through this time of suffering and grief.
Amanda, Iam so sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you and all your family. JENNIFER

Susie
