Obituary

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Martha Kathryn “Kathy” Gray Smith, age 76, of Fayetteville, TN. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Houston Welch officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 pm until 2 pm on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Kathy was born September 17, 1945, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Buddy and Elaine Dunman Gray. She was a seamstress at Serbin and Lee Manufacturing, and she later worked at Elk River Health and Rehab. Kathy loved watching baseball, wrestling, football, and NASCAR and she was a big Jeff Gordon fan. She passed away March 17, 2022, at NHC Pulaski.

Survivors include her daughters, Tangie (Jeff) Street and Gina Slatton, both of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jordan (Madison) Street, Joshua Street, and Thomas Slatton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Eugene Smith.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Martha Kathryn Smith.
