Funeral services for Mrs. Mara Suzanne Sawyers, age 64, of the Howell Community, will be conducted Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. Mrs. Sawyers passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Sawyers was a native of Warren County, TN, the daughter of the late Lendol Roy and Effie Liles Richardson. She was a farmer and a member of the Howell Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years Ray Sawyers, son Robert L. (Brenda) Sawyers, daughter Tonya S. (Justin) Helums, brothers David L. Richardson, Roy (Georgia) Mabe, grandchildren Kyle Helums, Kaitlyn Helums, Courtney Jackson, Jeremy Harwell and great grandchildren Harmony Thomas and Khloe Thomas. Along with her parents, Mrs. Sawyers was preceded in death by brothers James Mabe and Larry Hobbs.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to a charity of ones choice.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home.

Suzanne was a very nice gentle person that was always friendly.
I remember visiting them on their farm in Tennessee and having so much fun.
They came to visit us in Florida several years
ago when we lived there. Time and distance keeps families so far apart these days.
