Funeral services for Mrs. Willodean Simms Taylor, age 83, of Fayetteville will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery beside her husband James E. Taylor and son Larry Steven Taylor. Mrs. Taylor passed away Saturday January 2, 2010 at Donalson Care Center.

She was the daughter of the late Albert Ross and Flora Kennedy Simms. A native of Lincoln County, she was a retired nurse from the Patrick Clinic where she worked for Dr. Toon. She was also a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include granddaughters Jennifer Taylor of Fayetteville, Amy Taylor Hall of Fayetteville and Jamie Speck and husband Adam of Flintville, grandson Will Taylor of Fayetteville, great-grandchildren Hollie Taylor, Emma Hall, Nathan Speck and Thomas Speck, four brothers Albert Simms and wife Barbara of Fayetteville, Jimmy Simms and wife Becky of Fayetteville, Bill Simms of the Lincoln Community and Donnie Simms and wife Teresa also of the Lincoln Community, special friends Lynn and Jeanie Moore, Debbie Taylor and Stephanie Wingard. In addition to her parents, husband, and son, she is preceded in death by brothers Jack and Ronnie Simms and sister Martine Simms.

Visitation with the family will be Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home from 5-8 PM
