Private graveside funeral service for Mrs. Willie Lou Edmonson Travis, age 91, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery on December 31, 2020 with Pastor Charles Holsey officiating.

Willie Lou was born on May 13, 1929 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Mamie Edmonson. She worked as an assembler at Amana Refrigeration and a cosmetologist until her retirement from both positions. Willie Lou was a faithful member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she served on the Usher Board until she became ill. She passed away on December 29, 2020 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Willie Lou is survived by her husband, John W. Travis of Fayetteville; son, Stanley (Jocelyn) Travis of Fayetteville; daughter, Dee Dee Travis (Leonard) of Meridianville, AL; grandchild; Shea (Danielle) Travis of Huntsville, AL; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Travis of Fayetteville, Jeremy Travis of Huntsville, AL, Alissa Berry, Aden Berry, and John Berry all of Huntsville, AL; great great-grandchild, Khari Travis of Fayetteville; nephew, General Robert L. Edmonson, II (Ellen) of Fayetteville, NC; great-nephews, Robert Edmonson, III and Alexander Edmonson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom A. Edmonson and Robert L. Edmonson.
