A graveside service for William Reed McKin, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 9 AM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Lincoln Cemetery, with Bro. James Strope officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Reed was born on August 3, 1939, in Rome, GA to the late Aaron Napeleon McKin, Sr., and Bessie Ledford McKin. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked as a diesel mechanic. Mr. McKin lived life to the fullest and was very easy going. He passed away on August 11, 2026.
Survivors include his sons, Michael McKin and Larry Reed (Cathy) McKin; grandchildren, Thomas, Lynn, and Jason McKin; numerous great-grandchildren, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Mr. McKin was preceded in death by his wife, Emma J. McKin; daughters, Pam and Sherry McKin; and siblings, Minnie Ruth McKin Brown, Leonard Rice McKin, Aaron Napeleon McKin, Jr., Tilda Carnelia McKin Newgent, Dora McKin Holt, and Ernie Lee McKin.

Buck and Mike so sorry to hear about Mr Reed passing away. Bless his heart. I was just talking to Thomas about a month ago right after his mother in law passed and he was telling me that Reed was having trouble with dementia. Said he was wanting his keys to drive and everything. He’s going back to be with his wife and I think that’s where he wants to be. I will be praying for all of you and God bless.
