Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. William Homer Davis, age 76, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David Arrington officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. Davis passed away Saturday in Donalson Care Center.
Mr. Davis was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late William Floyd and Sarah Francis Ayers Davis. He worked in Law Enforcement in Lincoln and Bedford County for 30 years and served in the National Guard for 8 years.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Belinda Davis of Fayetteville, sons Timothy Wayne (Zsanee) Davis, William “Shane” Davis all of Fayetteville, grandchildren Kyle Jordan Davis, Abby Elise Davis, William Zachary Davis, Erin Paige Davis, Tristan Lance Davis, sister Vickie (Mike) Hopkins, brothers Johnny (Pat) Davis, Ray Davis, Nicky (Kathy) Davis and brothers-in-law Charles Swinford and Hue Kimbrough all of Fayetteville. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Mary Katherine Kimbrough, Barbara Swinford, Sara Josephine Davis and sister-in-law Vandie Davis.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Humane Society or the Harms United Methodist Church.
