It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. William Glen “Piggy” Parks, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN. Mr. Parks was born on May 7, 1936 in Lincoln County, TN to the late William Frederick “Fred” and Frances Wilson Parks. He passed away on April 23, 2020, at Donalson Care Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Glen attended the University of Tennessee as an Agriculture major. Upon his return to the community, he was employed by Ralston Purina in North Carolina and farmed pigs in the Mulberry Community. He later went to work for Anheiser Busch Turf farm, and retired from American Development Corporation as a Chemical salesman. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a member of Fayetteville Elks Lodge #1792 for thirty seven years.
Survivors include his wife Julia “Sissy” Grey Motlow Parks, daughters, Katie (Jon) Walker of Fayetteville; Grey Parks of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Josie Walker and Mattie Walker; sister, Martha Ellen Neal of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jo Hutchison Parks.

Sissy and girls, Ron and I were so saddened to hear of the loss of Piggy. He was a very special man and I know he will be greatly missed! I think he helped raise Rielly as she was over your house so often, and Stuart enjoyed rabbit hunting with him! We all have such fond memories! Our hearts and prayers are with you all!

I first knew Glenn as the husband to Betty Jo Parks. God blessed Glenn when he married Sissy. I’m so happy that Glenn got to be a father. Betty Jo’s mother told Glenn, “I’m glad you passed our way.” Glenn was loved.
I always enjoyed my conservations with him. he will be sorely missed. Rest in peace old friend.

I have fond memories of Glenn back during our hog showing heydays. He was always so much fun. My sincere condolences.
