Obituary

Funeral services for William Fred Jobe, age 86 of Petersburg, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Dr.Calvin Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery beside his wife Sara Williams Jobe. Mr. Jobe passed away Monday night at his residence.

A native of New Market, AL, he was the son of the late James Buford and Vera McFerrin Jobe. Mr. Jobe was retired from the Alabama Farm Bureau, was a lifetime farmer, a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of the Fayetteville Rotary Club.

Survivors include his children Charles (Lorie) Jobe of Petersburg, Leif (Barbara) Jobe of Muscle Shoals, AL, Elizabeth (Ken) Ware of McCalla, AL and David (Rita) Jobe of Petersburg, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorris Stevens.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 12 p.m-2 p.m. at the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lincoln Medical Center Endowment Fund, 106 Medical Center Blvd, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of William Fred Jobe.
