Funeral service for Mr. William Curtis Hickson, age 68, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday, February 29, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Sis. Patricia Staggs and Bro. Erney Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hickson passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 in the Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Hickson was a naitve of Lincoln County, the son of the late Fred and Daisy B. Mullins Hickson. He was a Master Craftsman ASE certified auto diesel mechanic for Bill Heard Chevrolet and Woody Anderson Ford and he retired from Buffalo Rock Pepsi. He was a special deputy sheriff of Moore County for Sheriff Ron Cunningham. Mr. Hickson was a Christian, with past membership with Pleasant Grove Full Gospel Church and the House of Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years Michealyn Hickson, son William Kevin (Monica) Hickson, Daughters Nora Kristin (Dwayne) Brewer, Emmy Melissa Elkins, son Jonathan Curtis Hickson, granddaughters Kailin Bledsoe, Torie Hickson and Kelsy Hickson, grandsons Robert Gammill and Justice Cash, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers Freddie Ray Hickson, James David Hickson, sisters Brenda Gail Hill, Betty Jean Malone and special family friend Dorothy Womble and children. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by special family friend Larry Womble.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 29, 2016 from 1 until 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
Michealyn, I,m so sorry to hear about Billy. Please know y’all are in our prayers and thoughts. He will be missed by us all. Please forgive for not being there. No one told me about him or I would had been there. We Love You.
Billy was my classmate with a wonderful sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face. His family are in our thoughts and prayers.
