Obituary

William “Bill” Howard Bogle, 70, returned to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 8th, after a valiant battle with multiple health issues. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11 at Prospect Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie Gay officiating. Burial will follow at the Prospect Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Higgins Funeral Home will be in charge of services. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in Jesus Christ supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Bill was born to the late, Alvie Darius Bogle and Mary Edith Umbarger, in Manchester, TN on September 7th, 1944. He was raised in a Christian home that would be a lifelong support from an early age. He graduated from Coffee County High School in Manchester, TN.

Bill was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend, Martha Jane Dollar, on September 8th, 1970, in Crown Point, Indiana. Bill helped raise his seven children. He had a love for cooking, sports and could sell anything. He held numerous jobs, always climbing to the top in sales. He also was known as “Santa Claus” to many in his community for several years. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace and with his Savior where they know they will see him again someday.

Bill is survived by his wife, Martha Bogle of Fayetteville, TN; his four daughters and their spouses; Mary Jane & Victor Urbino of Homestead, FL, Jacqueline Fernandez & Harold Fowler of Fayetteville, TN , Jolene & Kenneth Attard of Homestead, FL and Janet & Richard Moyers of Taft, TN; his three sons and their spouses; Johnny & Sheryl Fugate of Fayetteville, TN, Steve & Misty Fugate of Christiana, TN and Danny & Jill Fugate of Fayetteville, TN; his twenty-two grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and his brother Charles Bogle of McMinville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Bogle of Valparaiso, Indiana.

The family appreciates all the prayers and support during their time of grieving. Higgins funeral home is assisting the family of Bill Bogle.
