Obituary

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Wayne Talmadge Jones, age 76, of Dellrose, TN.

Mr. Jones was born on August 17, 1946, in Dublin, GA to the late Doyle D. and Daisy Mae Maloy Jones. Wayne worked in tool and die manufacturing and formerly owned and operated Turning Point in Opelika, AL. He was also a member of the Metal Engineering Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. Mr. Jones passed away on September 11, 2022, in Fayetteville, TN.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mullins; children, Kimberly (Matt) Butler and Tad Jones; bonus children, Brad Williams, Thomas Williams, Roger Reece (Rhonda) Mullins, and Steaven Christopher (Renata) Mullins; nephew, Michael (Toni) Jones; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle D. and Daisy Mae Maloy Jones; and brothers, Freeman Eugene and Dewey Dillon Jones.

A life celebration will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at Higgins.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Wayne Talmadge Jones.

    Wayne’s mother and my dad were brother and sister. While Kay was living I was able to stay in touch, after she passed I have not been able to contact any of the family. Did not even know he had remarried or moved away. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

    O MY hard to know I want be able to laught and talk to my first cousin and dear friend. We had fun cutingup at whitch he was very good at. I pray for confort to you Liz HIS LOVE,,SWEETHEART AND FRIEND. HE TOLD ME HE WAS VERY HAPPY. AND THE WHOLE FAMILY. YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS. GOD BLESS
