Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Lloyd Barnes, age 75 of the Howell Community, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Gaskill and Rev. Kirk Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. Mr Barnes passed away Saturday night at his residence.

A native of Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Colyar and Lela M. Bryant Barnes, formerly employed with NASA as an engineering aide for 33 years, and a member of Howell Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, Sunday School teacher, and treasurer.

Survivors include his wife Agnes Marie Campbell Barnes of Petersburg, daughter Lisa Barnes Sisk and husband Danny of Fayetteville, sons Paul Barnes and wife Elaine of Fayetteville, Tim Barnes and wife Dora of Howell, and Chuck Barnes and wife Karen of Flintville, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Sarah Goode of Fayetteville, and brother Phillip Barnes of Howell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Barnes Smith

Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5-8 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Howell Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
