Memorial service for Wayne Leon Asta, age 75, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at West End Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Johnson and Bro. Danny Green officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens: Garden of Honor.

Wayne was born on February 11, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Edward Leon and Mamie Lou McGee Asta. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. After his service, he worked security on Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Mr. Asta passed away on July 29, 2019 at Lynchburg Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife, Ronda Asta; sons, Richard (Julie) Asta of Houston, TX and Tony (Alora) Asta of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) Asta, Matthew Asta, Mattea Asta, Luke Asta, Lilly Asta, and Liam Asta; one brother, Ronald (Donna) Asta of Lebanon, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Frank Asta.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
