Funeral service for Wanda Ree Storey Mitchell, age 85, of Frankewing, TN will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Bunker Hill Church of God (3231 Bunker Hill Road, Pulaski, TN 38478) with Pastor Tommy Frady officiating. Burial will follow in Storey Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 9am to 10am at the church.
Wanda was born August 22, 1937, in Giles County, TN to the late Farris and Myrtle Elizabeth Beddingfield Storey. She was a graduate of Beech Hill High School and worked at Amana for over 30 years. Wanda was a member of Dellrose United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and flowers and sharing those flowers and vegetables with friends and family. Wanda passed away November 17, 2022, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Robinson of Knoxville, Valeree (Chris) Pitman of Mt. Juliet; son, Stanley Jay (Deby) Mitchell of Frankewing; grandchildren, Andy (Peyton) Pitman, and Alex (Alexis) Pitman; brothers, Robert Wayne (Milah) Storey of Nashville, George (Faye) Storey and Grady (Sandra) Storey, both of Giles County. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lyndall Mitchell.

Wanda was one of the best friends I ever had the privilege of having. I loved her dearly and I know she loved me. One of the most precious things she ever told me was that I was always in her prayers. I love you my friend.

MRS. Wanda was a wonderful person. She was kind, hardworking and loved so much. We are sorry to hear of her passing. Her and Lyndal were great neighbors and friends.

I worked with ms wanda sweetest lady you’ll ever meet ..She talked about her family all the time..She would bring me Christian books I loved her.RIP MS. Wanda
