Funeral services for Mrs. Vonola Whisenant Osborne, age 82, of Fayetteville will be conducted Thursday January 28th at 11:30AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery beside her husband Tony Osborne.  Mrs. Osborne passed away Monday January 25th at Donalson Skill Care Center.

She was a native of Arab, AL and the daughter of the late Gordon and Mittie Lou Dunn Whisenant.  She was a former employee of Brown Engineering & Teledyne and a member of the Park City Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter Joan Ables of Fayetteville, grandchildren Charles William Shewry III of Rockwall, TX and Joel Toney Shewry and wife Lisa of Arlington, TX,  sister Truvela Tarpley and husband Walden of Fayetteville, Nella Dean Hambrick and husband Ed of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren Patrick Ables of Huntsville and Chris Ables and wife Vickie of Fayetteville, step-great grandchildren Tanner, Colton, and Kaitlyn Ables of Fayetteville, step-daughter Patsy Ivey and husband Kenny of Fayetteville, brother-in-law Charles Osborne of Fayetteville, sister-in-law Willadean  Kloppel and husband Paul of Jacksonville, FL, Sarah Ward and Ward of Jacksonville, FL,  Brother-in-law Herman David Osborne and wife Sharon of Spring City, TN, Dr. Bob Osborne and wife Trish of Sparta, TN, sister-in-law Betty Van Trump and husband Jim of Portland, OR.

Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by sisters Sovola Hayes, Coolidge Whisenant and Henry Porter Whisenant and son-in-law Henry L. Ables, Jr.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5-7PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
