Obituary

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mrs. Virginia Tucker Parks, age 92, of Pulaski, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, TN. Mrs. Parks was born on February 5, 1928 in Lincoln Co., TN to the late Charlie Benton and Pearl Shelton Tucker. Virginia retired from NASA and was a member of the Church of Christ. She passed away on July 3, 2020 at NHC in Pulaski.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Smith of Mt. Juliet, TN, Carolyn Hayes of Huntsville, AL, Dixie (Justin) Sullivan of Mulberry, TN, and Teresa (Charlie) Davis of Summerville, SC; son, Roger (Cynthia) Parks of Pulaski; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Parks; brothers, J.W. and L.D. Tucker; and sisters, Lila Tucker Collins and Gracie Tucker Shelton.

Private family services were held with Bro. James Strope officiating. Burial was in the Lincoln Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Grace Fund at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 623, Fayetteville, TN 37334, in memory of Mrs. Parks.
