Funeral services for Mr. Vance Harton, age 82, of Hazel Green, AL will be conducted at 2:30PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. Mr. Harton passed away Friday December 19^th at Huntsville Hospital.

He was a native of Madison County, AL and the son of the late John and Agna Hobbs Harton. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during WW II, retired from NASA and was a member of the Plainville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Hopkins Harton of Hazel Green, daughter Janet Harton Jenkins of Hazel Green, AL, two sons Kinney Harton of Huntsville, AL and Van Harton of Hazel Green, AL, six grandchildren, Toby and Brent Jenkins, Katie Jenkins Norris, Jenny Harton Riggs, Alyssa Harton and Rachel Harton and three great grandchildren Caleb and Kyle Norris and Parrish Riggs.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday afternoon from 1:30pm until time of service at 2:30pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
