Funeral service for Anthony “Tony” Wayne Riner, age 50, of Fayetteville, will be conducted at 3:30 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will follow in Wright’s Cemetery.
Mr. Riner was born on December 10, 1967 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the late Charles and Margaret Griffin Riner. He worked as a welder and served on the Park City Volunteer Fire Department. Tony passed away on January 5, 2018 at Lincoln Care Center.
Survivors include his sons, Greg and Keith Riner of Fayetteville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Riner was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Riner and a sister, Talafar Riner Bostick.
Visitation with the family will be 1:30 PM until time of service at 3:30 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, TN Chapter, P.O. Box 62, Brentwood, TN 37027.
I AM VERY SORRY FOR YALL’S LOSS. THE LORD HAS TAKEN A GREAT FRIEND FROM ME THAT THE HUNTINGTONS TOOK A LONG TIME AGO. AL LEAST NOW WE KNOW HE IS NO LONGER IN PAIN. HE WILL BE MISSED BUT I WILL LOOK FOWARD TO SEEING HIM AGAIN WHEN WE PUT OUR TURN OUTS ON AGAIN BEFORE THE LORD. “BOYS” NEVER FORGET THE GREAT MAN HE WAS AND ALWAYS HONOR HIM!
