It is with regret we announce the passing of Mrs. Teresa Ann Hazelwood Burton, age 55, of Manchester, TN. Mrs. Burton was born on November 7, 1964 in Lincoln County, TN to Edwina Moyers Hazelwood and the late Larry C. Hazelwood. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and was a member of the Wesley Heights United Methodist Church in Tullahoma. Mrs. Burton passed away on April 2, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include her husband, Darryl Burton; children, Oscar Michael Burton, Monica (James) Marquis, Stephanie Burton, and Chelsea La’Shea (Jordan) Carter; grandchildren, Robert Darryl Taylor, Torrance Taylor, Landon Taylor, Jaxen Marquis, Hailey Marquis, Kaden Carter, Keira Carter, Haley Glenn, Kenneth Logan Burton, Tyler Womack, and Abigail Womack; half-sisters, Tina McNeill, Sarah Keese, Danielle Bradford, Wayne (Valerie) Hazelwood, and Calvin (Rebecca) Hazelwood; uncles Phillip (Carolyn) Moyers; aunt, Geraldine Edde; great-uncle, Bill (Thelma Ruth) Hampton; and cousins, Mike (Ruby) Edde, and Brent (Amanda) Moyers.
A private family service will be held for Mrs. Burton. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public gathering at this time.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Compassus, especially nurse Tammy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network, C/O Cary B. Sullivan at P.O. Box 633, Dechard, TN 37324.

She may not have birthed me but she never once treated me like I was anything less than her own child and she showed me the unconditional love and support that I deserved from a mom!!! I don’t know what I will do without her here to push me thru it when I wanna give up!!! But I know you are right by my side every step of every day kicking me in the butt and making sure I never give up again!!! I love you Momma T and you will forever be My Saving Grace!!! Tell daddy I love him and I can’t wait to see all of y’all waiting inside those Pearly Gate for me when I walk through them one day!!!!
