Funeral service for Sylvia Veronica Peters, age 61, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 3 PM on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Sean Thompson officiating.
Sylvia was born on August 14, 1956 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Noah Lee Shaw and the late Magdelena Kircherr Shaw. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Peters passed away on June 8, 2018 at Donalson Care Center.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Anthony Eugene Peters; children, Anthony Eugene Peters, Jr. of Fayetteville, Diana Michelle (Jonathan Alan) Perkins of Flintville, Michael Ryan (Erin) Peters of Riley, NC, Stephan Bradley (Rebecca K.) Peters of Murfreesboro, TN, and John Erick (Jacki Butler) Peters of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Lee Shaw and a sister, Carol Marie Shaw.
Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until time of service at 3 PM on Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter, 1718 Pulaski Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Sylvia was such a good friend! I respected so much her commitment to her family and church. She will always be an example to me of a person who knows ‘good works’ and lived it. She has multiplied and replenished the earth beautifully.
