Susie A. Locke, age 89 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m at Higgins Funeral with Bro. Meade and Bro. Bundy officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery beside her husband Charles E. Locke who passed away June 7, 2007. Mrs. Locke passed away Thursday February 21, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Hannah Bain Pirtle and John Thomas Pirtle. She was a former employee of Serbin Manufacturing, retired from Martin Industries and was a member of the First Church of Nazarene.
Survivors include sons Ronnie Locke and wife Faye, Kenneth Locke and wife Karen, grandchildren Jimmie Locke of Chicago, IL, Wayne Locke of Fayetteville, Michelle Holland of Hazel Green, AL, Christie Boyd of FL, Devonia Locke of Alabama, step-grandchildren Spencer Threatt of Shelbyville, TN, Jason Threatt of Chicago, IL, 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

It was always a delight to talk to her. She will be saddly missed. you’ll are in our thoughts and prayers.
We are saddened to hear Mrs. Susie has passed away, but know that she is reunited with Charles and in Heaven. She was such a wonderful friend to us and our family. I will never forhget her big heart, her warm smile, Her Love og God and family, and her strong faith in the Lord. Susie and Charles were one awesome example of what love is. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Aunt Susie.. She was a great christian lady.. I always loved being around her and Uncle Charles. We should all live our lives as they did..You all will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time of sorry.
