Obituary

It is with regret we announce the passing of Susan Carroll Juengel age 68 of Fayetteville, TN. Susan was born on December 17, 1952 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Glen E. and Pauline Allen Carroll, Sr. She passed away on August 6, 2021.

Susan was a true entrepreneur and co-owner of Bear Claw Paint Ball as well as a bus driver for Lincoln County Schools. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking cakes, and was happy to be known as “Mama Susie” to everyone at Bear Claw.

Survivors include her husband Robert Charles Juengel; sons, Robert Theiss (Crystal) Juengel of Meridianville, AL, Edwin Allen (Lisa Thomas) Juengel of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Aedan, Cassandra, and Caitlyn Juengel; brothers, Glenn (Ann) Carroll, II, and Tony (Pat) Carroll. In addition to her parents Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Carroll.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, August 20 at Higgins Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 4 pm until time for the service. The family kindly request attendees to wear masks and gloves. For those unable to attend in person the memorial service will be live streamed and published online at higginsfh.com on Susan’s obituary page.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fabulous Fifties Foundation, PO Box 934, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

    So sorry to hear this, Tony and Teddy. I saw Susan a few years ago at Linda’s house for my Mom’s funeral. She gave us lots of hugs and made us smile…she will be greatly missed. Love to you all.

    So sad to hear of the sudden loss of our neighbor and friend, Susie. She had a contagious smile and was always spunky and had a go-get-em attitude. She ayways waved when she went by or would honk that big school bus horn. Condolences to Robert and their children and families.
