Obituary

Graveside service for SMSgt Arthur David Doyle, US Air Force (Ret), age 91, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Prospect Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

SMSgt Doyle, known as Pops, was born on June 22, 1933, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Luther Bell and Iva Dee Sherrod Bell. He was a 1951 graduate of Dyersburg High School and served 25 years in the US Air Force. SMSgt Doyle passed away on January 18, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Survivors include his children, David Wayne (Jacqueline) Doyle of LaVergne, TN, and Cynthia Lynne (Jeff) Gentry of the Boonshill Community; grandchildren, Jeffrey Adam (Radina) Gentry, Lindsey Rose Doyle, and Samantha Nicole Halloran; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Owen, Tate, and Bennett Gentry and sister in-law Judy Adams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Jean Doyle; grandson, Mark David Blevins; and sister, Wilma Elzetta Sparks.
