Funeral services for Shirley Thompson, age 79 of Kelso, will be conducted Friday at 12:30 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. John Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Hirlston Family Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson passed away Tuesday night in Donalson Care Center.

A native of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late Walker and Pearl Raulston Hawkins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Winchester.

She is survived by a daughter Sharon Thompson of Kelso, brothers and sisters Marjorie Bunce, Glen Hawkins and Bills Hawkins, Jr. all of Fayetteville, NC, Anna Lee Caulder of Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
