Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Shirley Sullivan Hines age 89 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband Mr. Joe C. Hines who passed away in 1991. Mrs Hines passed away Saturday morning at Donalson Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Houston and Flora Mae Mills Sullivan, Mrs Hines worker at Serbin Manufacturing, and was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her brother Edward “Bully” Sullivan of Lynchburg, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Hines was preceded in death by sisters Jewell Scott and Claudia Dillard, and brother Elbert Sullivan.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    So sorry about the loss of Shirley. She was a sweet person. We attended church with she and Joe for years. I (Maple) attended LPN training with Claudia 1971-72. Prayers for you all.
