Obituary

Graveside service for Ms. Shirley Ann Thorpe, age 85 of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Lincoln Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Meaker officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until 2 PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Shirley was born on September 25, 1935 in Fayetteville, TN to the late William Ross and Dovie Dee Sullivan Tucker. She worked at Sirs Fabrics in material sales until her retirement. Shirley enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Coldwater Methodist Church. Shirley passed away on March 18, 2021 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Ms. Thorpe is survived by her daughter, Lesa Ann Rose (Henry Wales) of Coldwater; and a granddaughter, Anna Rose (Jason) Wallace of Coldwater. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne “Pee Wee” Thorpe in 1982; infant sister, Reba Joyce Tucker; and bonus brother, George Jones.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Ms. Shirley Ann Thorpe.
