She graduated from Artesia High School in New Mexico in 1962 and furthered her education by earning an associate degree and Para Legal Certificate in Maryland in 1988.

Writing was Sheran’s true passion in life. From crafting legal briefs as a paralegal to contributing a food column to a weekly newspaper, she demonstrated her versatile writing skills. In addition to these professional pursuits, Sheran dedicated time to writing poetry, short stories, and essays for her personal fulfillment.

Sheran’s talents extended beyond writing. For over forty years, she actively engaged with various philanthropic organizations, including Beta Sigma Phi, Junior Woman’s Club, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, PTA, Muscular Dystrophy, and Easter Seals. She held leadership positions as President or Board Member in several Writer’s Leagues and clubs, demonstrating her commitment to community service.
