Funeral service for Shelley Anne Sly, age 64, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 1 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Friday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Shelley was born on February 26, 1960, in Okinawa, Japan to the late MSGT Fred Franklin Gibson and Mabel S. Gibson. Renowned as the world’s best pet groomer, she poured her heart into her craft as the proud owner and operator of Muttly’s Pet Grooming in Park City, TN. Shelley found true joy in the simple moments spent with her family at home. Her kindness, dedication, and love leave an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her. She passed away on June 30, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Sly; son, John (Jenny) Prince; granddaughter, Jordan Prince; grandson, Carter Prince; and a brother, Gary (Madeline) Gibson. In addition to her parents, Shelley was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Gibson; and a grandson, Cayden Wesley Wayne Prince.

Mark and family, Shelley was a wonderful groomer, and our family was blessed to find her. We always enjoyed visiting with you both and missed you after you closed Muttly’s.
