Ms. Savannah (Vannah) Leigh Hancock of Huntsville AL, 37 years of age, passed away on November 15, 2022.

She was born on June 5, 1985 to Sandra (Sandy) Leigh and Dan Lee Hancock in St. Petersburg, FL. After graduating Lincoln County High School, she went on to study at Athens State University to obtain a degree in Business Administration. She worked at FCA Properties for 16 years in Administration. She was a vibrant individual who enjoyed crafting and caring for others. She brightened the door whenever she walked in with her enthusiasm. Vannah will always be remembered for her sharp mind, quick wit, and big heart.

Savannah was preceded in death by her mother, Sandy Hancock, and her cousin, Scott Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughter, Avery Lee Foster (14), and former husband, Andy Foster of Athens, AL; her father, Dan Hancock; her grandparents, Richard and Lorna Mitchell and Reva J. Hancock; her sisters, Holly (Sam) Poole and April Hancock; her nephew, Hunter Hancock, and her niece, Isla Poole; her uncle, George Mitchell and her aunt, Christy Adams; her cousins, Caleb (Erin) Adams and Brittany Adams; and close family friends, RheAnna (Joey) King, Roswell (Erica) Richardson, and Vickie Richardson.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel of Berryhill.

In celebration of her life, the family requests that donations be made to your local humane society or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at https://afsp.org via a donation tribute gift.

Cousins are our instant friends in life, connected by family, some we know and some we don’t. Although we didn’t live close, Savannah made every effort to get to know us through the means available. Family barbeques, social media were our best connections. I will miss that glowing smile and the show of love for your daughter. Condolences to my family for this loss.
