Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Wraight Black age 77 of Fayetteville will be conducted Sunday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery beside her husband Duane Arnold Black who passed away 2008. Mrs Black passed away Wednesday morning at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.

A native of Mississippi County, AR she was the daughter of the late J. Kathryn Martin and E. Thomas Wraight, she was a retired Latin teacher, held several positions within the republican party in Tennessee and Alabama and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Cynthia Penrod and husband Lonnie of Indian Mound, TN, son David Black and wife Brenda of Broomfield, CO, grandchildren Christopher and Ecaterine Penrod, and Haley and Benjamin Black, sister Carol W Lindstrom and two brothers Robert C. and Thomas E. Wraight all of Morton, Illinois.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church Building Fund.
