Sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was a great help to me years ago when I was trying to find out more about my husband, Dennis McBay ancestors. I will never forget her reply when I asked her what her grandparents names were… she simply said Granny and Papa! Then she chuckled and said I know that isn’t what you wanted to hear but that is what we called them and that is all I know right now so let me think on that. After a while we chatted more and we said goodbye. A few hours later she called me back with her grandparents names. She called her sister, Ms. Berry and between the two of them they remembered the names I needed. We had several chats after that, anytime I needed to know something I called her and most of the time she knew what I needed. May you all find peace and comfort knowing she is at rest now.
