Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Fitch Smartt, age 62 of Fayetteville will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Shultz and Bro. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Mrs. Smartt died at her residence on Sunday morning. A native of madison County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Doris Bishop Fitch. She was retired from Johnson Control and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter Janet Pamplin of Fayetteville, sons Greg and Jeff Smartt both of Fayetteville, long time companion Randall Shelton of Fayetteville, brothers Jerry, Butch, Donny, Bobby Fitch all of Fayetteville and Ricky Fitch of Taft, sisters Betty Greenhaw of Hazel Green, Alabama and Brenda Gray of Taft, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by sister Carolyn Metcalf and infant brother Ronnie Fitch. Visitation with the family will be conducted Monday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
