Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Aliene Colbert age 78, of Kelso, will be conducted Thursday at 2 P.M. at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery beside her first husband John D. Colbert. Mrs Colbert passed away Tuesday morning in Lincoln Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Newman and Martha Alise Tucker Sanders, a homemaker, and member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Joe David Colbert Fayetteville, Jerry Dean Colbert of Pulaski, and James Donald Colbert of Culleoka, her husband Ed Martin of Kelso four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, step-daughters Pam (Jackie) Reeves of Flintville, Donna and Ronald Bailey of Fayetteville, Cheryl and Butch Wicks of Flintville and Amy(Tony) Williams of Kelso, step-son Tim (Vicki) Martin of AL, brothers Joe Sanders of OH, Albert Sanders, Jr. of Fayetteville, and Bobby Sanders of Antioch, TN.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 5 – 8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
