Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Royce Wayne Myers, Sr., age 79, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Clanton officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM on Tuesday at Higgins.

Royce was born on July 20, 1939 in Giles County, TN to the late James Roy and Hazel Versia Williams Myers. He worked as a tow motor operator for Murray Ohio, INC for 41 years and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed working on trucks and tractors. Mr. Myers passed away on July 14, 2019 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bonnie Sue Smith Myers; children, Shelia Oliver of Fayetteville, TN, Wayne (Melody) Myers of Nashville, TN, Marcella (David) Sutton of Fayetteville, TN, and Michelle (Bill) Parsley of Fayetteville, TN; 12 granddaughters; and 33 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Myers, and sons-in-law, Anthony Ray Oliver and Stephen Ray Coggin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc., 207 N. Jackson Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388, or Avalon Hospice, 305 S Jackson St Ste B, Tullahoma, TN 37388.
