Mr. Harris provided me with my first job (mowing grass at the Terrace motel and the field out back). I did this for several summers and enjoyed working for him.
My parents would the family to eat out at the Terrace restaurant. Mr. Harris was a wonderful cook. One of his specialty’s was his apple pie. If we had been good, we would get to have the pie with ice cream on top.
Fayetteville and Mulberry Avenue will miss his presence.

I look at the above picture & I see my cousin Roy Jr.’s likeness as I have never seen that association so vividly as before today. I am saddened that things have gone for you the way they have. I will pray for you as it is all I can do.

    Dear Roy,
I will never forget your kind father and the many years he was at the Sands when I was a youngster. Eddie and I had our rehearsal dinner there 39 years ago. He was a wonderful man. May God bless you at this time and always. Janine and Eddie Wilson

Roy was a long time friend of our family. Regretfully, we had not been in contact for quite some time. Roy was always ready with a story and was very giving and personable. We have many good memories going back many years. Carole and I had our engagement party at the Terrace Restaurant back in 1957. Roy did a fine job getting us off on the right foot. My parents, now deceased loved Roy and his family.
Roy jr. and Lisa, We send our heart-felt condolences and will keep Roy’s memory for ever.

Another wonderful influence in our lives has departed this earth for his place at the foot of the Father.

Roy Harris was a wonderful role model for everyone. A kinder, more sensitive man I don’t think I have ever known.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Roy and Lisa, now and in the days and weeks ahead.

There much be much rejoicing in Heaven these days.
