Born on May 14, 1947, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Odis and Juanita Burns Mitchell, Ronnie dedicated his life to hard work, faith, and family. He began his career with the Lincoln County Highway Department before spending 38 years at Magotteaux in Pulaski, where he retired. Outside of work, Ronnie found joy in tending to his garden, raising cattle and chickens, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers. A devoted member of McBurg First Baptist Church, he held his faith and church family close to his heart. Though a man of few words, Ronnie expressed his love through quiet acts of kindness and unwavering devotion to those he cared about. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and he took immense pride in being the best “Pa” to his grandchildren, attending all of their activities. Ronnie passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. His steady presence, warm heart, and love for his family will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

Mr. Ronnie was such a kind man. I remember him stopping by often when he saw my dad in the yard just to say hi and check in. He was a good neighbor the nearly 30 years my family lived on Chicken Creek. I grew up eating lots of veggies from his enormous garden that he so generously shared with the entire community of McBurg. I remember my dad saying he had no idea how Mr Ronnie grew his veggies so big. He had a unique gift in making things grow whether that was his garden, his family, or his love for his community.
Jean, Tammy, Troy and all the Family and friends. We are so very sorry to hear of Ronnie’s passing. Such a devoted man to all his family and friends. Prayers to each and every one of you as God has definitely gained another Angel.
Brenda & Joe Burns and Mattie Sawyer.
Ronnie was a friend from Boonshill School & I remember him as being a boy of few words like mentioned in his obit. I always respected his quiet manner. His sister Brenda was a treasured friend in my class. I was fortunate to be a guest in the Mitchell household back in the sixties & found them to be a close & loving family. Those years were the best! My thoughts & prayers are for you during this time & I’m glad he could be home with you until God called him Home. Love you all. ♥️🙏
