Obituary

Funeral services for Ronald Thomas Dodge, age 77, of Flintville, TN will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11am until 1pm on Friday at Higgins.

Ron was born August 11, 1946, in Russell, KS to the late Eston Clark and Naomi Ruth Loftin Dodge. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War on the USS Long Beach. Ron worked for many years as a quality engineer for various government contractors and retired from the Tech Data Management Division at Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and part of the Fayetteville Ward. Ron was honest to a fault, a fount of wisdom for his children and grandchildren, and the absolute best at dad jokes and puns. He enjoyed watching westerns, playing video games, and was a wonderful cook known for his delicious spaghetti sauce. Above all he loved his family and did all he could for them. Ron passed away peacefully at his home on April 8, 2024.

Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Wendy Bosarge Dodge; children, Jennifer (Chris) Fuller, Jared (Mary) Dodge, Areon Trujillo, and Jessica Dodge; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Josh) Scott, Kira (Brandon) Coburn, Nathan Tyler Fuller, Andrew Phillip Fuller, and Matthew Suenaga; great-grandchildren, Elijah Ronald Scott, Amara Lynn Scott, Lenore Elizabeth Alexandria Coburn, and Diana Evelyn Michelle Coburn; brothers, Charles McCollum, Melvin McCollum, Douglas (Diane) Dodge. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Dodge.
