Funeral service for Rocky Wayne Cannon, age 65, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ley Jean and Brad Jean officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Friday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Rocky was born on April 27, 1959, in Lincoln County, TN to the late JB Cannon and JoAnn Street Cannon. He worked as a foreman with Jean’s Lawncare. “Pop” or “PawPaw” enjoyed spending time with his family camping, hunting and fishing. He passed away on February 7, 2025, at his residence.
Survivors include his sons, Steven Wayne (Valerie) Cannon, and Billy Jack “BJ” Cannon; grandchildren, Blane Cannon, Olivia Jewel Cannon, Noah David Cannon, AnnaLeigh Kathryn Cannon, Bentlee Cannon, and Addison Cantrell; brother, Mark (Lyn) Cannon; niece, Logan (Cody) Buford, and Georgiana Wray; and nephew, Brayden Cannon. In addition to his parents, Rocky was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Marie Cannon; and sister, Tammy Cannon.

Rocky an me grew up on Liberty Road way back when bicycles were our first mode of transportation, played ball of some sort from my yard to Daniel’s grocery an many other yards in between, partied our share of times, worked for Jerry Newton,(Wayne Newton’s brother) back in the day ,..just stopped in not long ago an sat an talked about old times..fly high my brother and friend ,until we meet again…

My heart is broken. But knowing Rocky has gone on to a better place and to be with the love of his heart ,patsy. You both have been such good cherished long time friends. You both always had a smile on your faces even if you felt bad. I’ve known Rocky since I was a child at liberty church. Steven and BJ my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I love you all rocky will be greatlymissed…
