Funeral service for Mr. Robert “Bud” Louis Dorning, age 26, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Pearson and Alan Shedd officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 AM until time of service on Friday at Higgins.
Robert was born on October 23, 1992 in Lincoln County, TN to Jeff Dorning and Robin Ridge Campbell. He was a 2011 graduate of Lincoln County High School and served in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years. He was the owner of Dorning & Sons, LLC trucking company. Robert passed away on July 30, 2019 at his residence.
Survivors include his parents, Jeff and wife Shirley Dorning of Fayetteville, TN and Robin and husband Ray Campbell of Huntsville, AL; brother, Jeffery Dorning, Jr. of Hazel Green, AL; sisters, Shay (Will) Sullivan of Huntland, TN and Cassie Disheroon of Fayetteville, TN; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Karen Dorning of Fayetteville, TN; maternal grandparents, Robert and Wanda Ridge of Hazel Green, AL, and nephew, Waylon Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lincoln County Tribute Chair, Cary B. Sullivan, PO Box 470 Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Robert Louis Dorning.

My prayers go out to all the family and friends of Robert. I only knew him a short time while we was working together in shipping at mitchell plastics. So sad to hear this.. he was a hard working, funny, and caring guy!
The Dorning family has our sincere sympathy. We do have an idea of what you are facing as we came close to losing one of our loved grandchildren a couple of years ago. You all will be in our prayers. Only God knows why the good die young!
