Janice, i was so very sorry to learn of Ferrells passing from his life here on earth. I can just almost see his hand passing from yours to his Heavenly Fathers. And while i know that you will miss him terribly, what a blessing Ferrell has been to you and the two of you to so many others. You and Ferrell have always been one of those rare couples who people can’t imagine one without the other. That was my first thought when learning of his passing. Dear, sweet Janice, I pray that God will hold you in His loving grace and help you to focus on the many, many happy memories you shared with your beloved Ferrell. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers for a long time to come.

So many memories of Mr. Farrell. Riding one of his beloved tractors in the Christmas Parade and sitting in the store (Park City Bi-Rite) talking to other men who were there and anyone who came in. Can’t count the number of times my Daddy would take my sister and me to the store with him and there would be Mr. Farrell sitting there shootin’ the bull. Lol. He would always pick on us. My Daddy dubbed him “the Mayor of Park City” because he was always there talking to everyone. There will never be another “Mayor of Park City” because there will never be another Farrell Harwell. God rest your soul “Mayor” you will always be missed. Love, Sherry and Lori (the little Renegar girls).

Janice, Digger, Brothers & Sisters, I am so thankful to have known & called this wonderful family my friends all these years. It must have been great to get together on holidays & family reunions with a family of this size. As the only daughter I just cannot imagine! Janice, I realize what a loss you feel at this time & I pray that God will strengthen you in the coming days & weeks as you regroup your life. He was a “good ‘un”, as was all of y’all. I have so many memories of good times at Boonshill School with Ruby & Carroll Wayne when we were just kids.We lived in a much slower kinder world back then. Its amazing how everything has changed in our short lifetimes! Know that I love each of you & wish you well at this sad time. Sincerely, Rexine Douthit Pigg

From the time they were born to Halloween visits to Sam driving by each morning revving his engine. Huge hugs Janice. You are in our thoughts and prayers. MR. Harwell was the greatest neighbor that we ever had on Monks road. Whenever my daughter (Mya) was born, he and Ms. Janice came over to visit. Then, whenever Betty( Nannie) would babysit Mya, they would stroll down to visit Mr. Farrell during the day. Mr. Farrell would give Mya a Sunny D and maybe some kind of treat. Mr. Farrell and his dog, Digger, would ride over on his John Deer Gator and visit us whenever we were home. When Mya was still young enough to trick-or-treat we would try to make sure and see him and Ms. Janice. Mr. Farrell helped me work on my lawnmower and even gave me pointers on how to best use my then-new Zero turn. We will never forget Mr. Farrell. For the last few years I’ve been honking my horn every weekday as I drive by his house headed to work. I was not a great neighbor, just always busy and mostly gone somewhere. I thought if he heard my horn he’d know I was thinking about him, especially when he was not feeling great. I’ll keep honking Mr. Farrell, so you’ll know I’m thinking about you.
