Graveside service for Ricky Lynn Brooks, age 59, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Unity Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Bates officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday at Higgins.

Ricky was born March 16, 1963, in Fayetteville, TN and worked as an automotive technician for several years. He enjoyed hunting, cars, Westerns, and gardening. Ricky loved Elvis and he loved to sing, especially “Love Me Tender” to his beloved wife Donnarene. He was a proud father and had fun playing Santa Claus for the family. Ricky passed away after a lengthy illness at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, surrounded by his family.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Donnarene Thornton Brooks; children, Aaron Lynn Brooks, Stephanie Lynne (Caleb) Stonecipher, Melissa Jean Brooks, and Victoria (Jason) Schroeder; grandson, Collin Emery Gooding; siblings, Michael (Annette) Reeves, Jerome (Phyllis) Brooks and family, Wanda Deason, and Kim Patterson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Douglas Brooks and Ruby Jean Griffin Brooks; a daughter, Sarah Irene Brooks; sister, Bonnie Thomason; and his maternal grandparents, John Emery and Mattie Lee Griffin.
