Funeral services for Rickey M. Smith, age 58 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Friday at 12PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Graves and Bro. Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, TN. Mr. Smith passed away Monday evening athis residence.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Fred T. and Edith June Rogers Smith. Mr. Smith was maintenance manager for Plastic Fusion Fabricators in Huntsville for 20 years. He was a member/ordained Deacon at Bethelem Baptist Church in Hazel Green. Mr. Smith was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and loved all aspects of cars and racing.
Survivors include his wife Shirley King Smith of Fayetteville, daughter Jessica Helton and husband Randy of Shelbyville, two brothers Kenneth Smith and wife Evelyn of Fayetteville, Dennis Smith and wife Paulette of Fayetteville, a special granddaughter Riley Kate Helton and a hosts of special friends. He was preceded in death by a son Chad Smith and sister Fredna Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bethelem Baptist Benevolent Fund, Fairview Fellowship Church, Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, TN.
Visitation with the family will be conducted Thursday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
