Funeral service for Mrs. Rebecca Moore Smith, age 85, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband, Alfred E. “Pete” Smith, Sr., in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Smith was born on October 31, 1932 in Lincoln County, TN, to the late Willis and Madelyn Ward Moore. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She worked for Serbin Manufacturing and later retired from Walmart. Mrs. Smith passed away on January 11, 2018 at Lincoln Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Faulkner (Joe); sons, Randall Smith, Tracey Smith (LeeAnn), and Terrill Smith; brother, AC Moore; ten grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and special friend Herman Bolin. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alfred E. “Pete” Smith, Jr.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

I’m so sad to hear of Becky’s passing. She was a strong and sweet woman. Anytime I would see her, usually at Walmart, she always had a smile on her face. She was one of a kind and will be missed.

Just this morning I thought about Becky & all the years she worked at Walmart. She seemed to love her job & everyone she met. With the news of the salary change & bonus I remembered her devotion to her job & how this was good news, even if she is retired. Becky was a good example of vitality & happiness living a beautiful life.
