Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Pauline Hunter Philpot, age 95, of Fayetteville, will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Kirkland Cemetery.
Mrs. Philpot was a native of Lincoln County and born on September 1, 1922 to the late Ben Franklin and Ozella Franklin Bennett. She was an avid walker, enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and traveling. Mrs. Philpot was a member of the Kirkland Baptist Church. She passed away on February 3, 2018 at Donalson Care Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca (Dwight) Spray of Fayetteville and Brenda (Gary) Badenhop of Morris, AL; son, J.C. (Ellen) Philpot of Goodlettsville; grandchildren, Stephen (Sandy) Spray, Christa Badenhop, Carla Badenhop (Tony) Mason, Joey (Brittany) Philpot, Michael (Jessica) Fulghum, and Melissa (Jeremy) Sistare; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margie (Bobby) Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her first husband, Leathel Hunter, second husband, Herman Philpot, and seven siblings.
There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Pauline Hunter Philpot.

Becky and Brenda, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother. When she lived on the Ardmore Highway, my mother and she used to walk together down Camargo Road. For many years they stayed in touch by phone when your mother moved to town. Again, I extend my deepest sympathy to you and all the extended family. My sincere condolences on the loss of Mrs. Philpot. I remember her from many years back while visiting her with Christa. She was a sweet lady. Prayers to all the family and this great time of loss. 95 years is truly a blessing but it is always hard to say goodbye.
