It is with regret we announce the passing of Patricia Morrison Wietzel, age 74, of Ardmore, TN. Patty was born November 17, 1949, in Alton, IL to the late Lawrence and Marjorie Harmon Morrison. She was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Dellrose Church of Christ. Patty worked for many years as an elementary school reading teacher and after retirement she worked for the State of Tennessee in the foster care program. She was a selfless person who sacrificially gave what she had to others whether it was something material, or her time and talents. Patty passed away July 1, 2024, at Madison Hospital in Madison, AL.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Robert J. Wietzel, Jr.; her sisters, Karen Heitzig and Carol Vogel; and her beloved cats, Dynamite, Elvis, and Smokey; as well as several family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

The family will hold a memorial service at 2pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Dellrose Church of Christ, 1502 Old Elkton Pike, Dellrose, TN 38453.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society, P.O. Box 37, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
